Windmill Foodbank
Emergency food support for people in need
Running every Thursday with breaks at Easter and Christmas and in August, our Foodbank is a lively community of regular visitors and welcomes new people almost every week too.

Could you pick food up in a car from local suppliers, supermarkets and other foodbanks?

Could you come to help sort out the food on a Thursday morning, setting it up so that our visitors can choose what they want?

Could you come to help distribute the food and then clear away and clean up after the Foodbank on a Thursday afternoon?

Windmill Warmbank
During the winter months, our heating is on and the door is open at St Aldhelm's!
We are open to visitors on Tuesday to Thursday every week here at St A's. There always needs to be someone around in the church when our doors are open.

If you have 2 or more hours to spare on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday any time between 9.30 and 5, you could help us by greeting visitors, offering a hot drink and a biscuit or just a listening ear and giving information out when requested.

We see between 5 and 15 people every day, most of whom just want to enjoy the peaceful tranquillity inside the church. Some come in to use the wifi, others to light a candle, and some want to have a nice cuppa and a chat.

Celebration!
Our volunteers are really important and special people, so we make sure that they know!
We show our appreciation to our volunteers on a regular basis with fun gatherings.
