congregation

All are welcome

Our congregation is as diverse as the community in which we are situated. We are welcoming and friendly, prayerful and faithful and we enjoy meeting visitors  - be sure to stay after church for a hot drink so we can get to know you.

Our services are liturgical but lively and the congregation plays an active part in our worship. Members of the congregation read from the Bible, lead our prayers, answer questions in the sermon, sing and sometimes even dance.

Members of the congregation also lead or take part in our social action - running the foodbank, helping out in the Edible Garden and more

Children

Children are an important part of our worship at St Aldhelm's. Children stay in church throughout our services and take a full role - you will see them robed and serving at the altar, reading the Bible for us and leading our prayers. Two of three times a year the children lead our worship and teach us.

We have a busy and popular Sunday Club for children aged 6 and upwards, which meets every other week after church.
